Clockblocker is a time visualisation tool I built to help me manage my study time. I recently found out I might be a bit autistic, so I built this to accomodate the way I visualise time. The app's design was inspired by other time visualisation tools built for neurodivergent people, like TimeTimer.
When I get home from work, there's always a couple things I want to do. Cook dinner, revise vocab, watch some japanese youtube/netflix, and maybe read or something. It's also important to give my brain a break so I sometimes watch english youtube or play games, but I often get distracted and watch/play for longer than I want to.
With Clockblocker, I can add various “blocks” of time to the clock and actually visualise the amount of time it takes up. This way I can schedule in time to relax without going overboard, I can ensure the right amount of my evening is devoted to language learning, and I can make sure I go to bed on time instead of getting carried away.
As time passes, the coloured part of the clocks will get smaller, so you can see time elapsing in real time and gauge how much longer you have on a task!
One thing I believe very strongly is that making the most of one's time is Good. We have so little time to be truly free to achieve our own goals. I want to do anything I can that might help other people flourish in their free time. I hope this is able to help you achieve your language/study goals and make the best use of your time!
